Chestnut Square Historic Village is a place for people to get together in a beautiful historic setting.  Facilities and grounds are available for rental for your group meetings, family reunions, and more.

Would you like to get involved with others who are interested in preserving and perpetuating the heritage of Collin County?  Several groups come together at Chestnut Square on a regular basis.

The Living History Group brings history to life at Chestnut Square through crafts and reenactments during Living History Days, school tours and other events.  Are you interested in demonstrating a craft or dressing in period clothing to bring the square to life?  Contact us for more information on how you can get involved.

Our Curation Team meets every Wednesday morning to catalogue new artifacts, research and document information about the history of Collin County.  The Curation Team also meets to prepare Chestnut Square for our annual Holiday Tour of Homesand change out our quarterly exhibits.  Contact us for more information.

Front Porch Volunteers sign up to volunteer at Chestnut Square to help keep the buildings, grounds furnishings and exhibits looking great!  Projects range from trimming the roses in our Chapel Garden to painting porches on our historic buildings.  Special Front Porch Fridays are held quarterly to bring Front Porch Volunteers together.  Contact us for more information.

Docents are so important to Chestnut Square…they allow us to communicate the history of Collin County through regularly scheduled guided tours and tours for school children and other groups.   Chestnut Square docents are trained to present not only the history of The Heritage Guild of Collin County, the founders of Chestnut Square Historic Village, the structures and grounds at Chestnut Square and how people lived in Collin County from 1850-1920.  Contact us for more information about our docent program at Chestnut Square.

If you like to plan, organize and raise money for a great cause, the Holiday Tour of Homes Committee is right for you!  The Holiday Tour of Homes happens the first weekend in December every year.  Contact us to get involved.

The Board of Directors for the Heritage Guild of Collin County governs the plans and activities at Chestnut Square.  If you’re interested in getting involved in governance activities, contact us.

Check out all the ways you can get involved and become part of the Heritage Guild of Collin County on our calendar!
